Scripts for Young Adults From People Living With Mental Illness

A collection of thirteen challenging, dynamic and engaging scripts for young adults, all based on the stories of people who live with mental illness. The project was developed through a twelve month collaboration with educational playwright, Sue Murray, and thirteen members of Mental Illness Education ACT.  The creative development process involved a series of drama and writing workshops and a residential weekend, and the scripts were trialled in several schools. The resource is designed for educators explorying mental health issues in the Drama or English classroom and come with support materials and links to further information. It is downloadable from the website of Mental Illness Education ACT. The project included a teacher training day in collaboration with MindMatters.
