STORIES FROM THE STREET
A Collection of Short Films by Four Courageous Canberrans
Stories from a Special Olympian, a special Roosters fan, a dog person and someone who isn't able to talk. These four Canberrans know about disadvantage, marginalisation and homelessness and tell their stories in their own words and with their own images.

The Life of Bryan
Brian's humour shines. His motto in life is never give up and he works two jobs. But speaking seriously he says, 'It’s the hardest thing in the world not to be able to talk and I just want to be treated as normal.'
Me and My Dog
Meet Bianca's companion dog, Dr Harry, so-named because he's very special and clever and looks like a doctor.
Just Keep Swimming
Genise has won medals in the Special Olympics in both ice-skating and swimming. She says, 'I was born with my disability and I don’t let that put me down. My attitude is to say, ‘Move on! I can do it!’'
Special Roosters Fan
Kylie shares her collection of Roosters memorabilia and the stories behind them: a pair of dirty shorts, a memorable handshake, and the reason she wears her Roosters cap while selling The Big Issue.
